1 Thessalonians 2:7-8
But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children. So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us. #Bible

In “Sharing Life Together 1” I explained to you what Alone With God Devotional is NOT about. Today I’ll like to show you just as Paul did, what ministry IS about:

“But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.”

Ministry is as much as mothering; we care for your life as a nursing mother cares for her own children. This Devotional seeks to feed you with the Word of God, to give you life and make your life better.

~~

You see, what makes mothers so great is that they share every little thing they have (most of them at least). A mother goes at all lengths to provide for the children. And that is what we’re about; we’ll do all it takes, as the Spirit of God directs us, to see your life get better.

“We were ready to share with you, not only the gospel but also ourselves…”

  • What does this mean? It simply means that when you’re sick, we’re sick, when you’re in pain, we’re feel the pain. When you’re in sorrow, we’re sorrowful too, when you’re comforted, we’re comforted too. When you’re happy, we’re happy too, when joy fills your life, joy floods our lives as well. We’re not here just to share with you the gospel but our own lives as well.

This Devotional was born out of a desire to share the lessons we learn in our walk with God (sermons, experiences, etc) with friends and loved ones. Why? “Because you have become so dear to me.” That is all there is to it. We are pressing on to take hold of that which Christ took hold of us, and that is, to show you light in God’s word and to help you develop a personal relationship with God.

Beloved, we are as committed to making your life better as we are concerning our own lives. As you join us, be rest assured, you will go far in your walk with God and in this life.

An African proverb says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together or take others along with you.”

Let us walk together towards the path of the high calling, let us walk heavenward.
