Meet Me There

3 min read

If you’re from the Cabo Corso in Ghana, or if you’ve stayed there for a while, today’s title reminds you of a popular spot especially during the annual festivities. Today, I want to share with you the second direction Jesus gives for us to get to our prepared place.

Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” So he sent two of his disciples, telling them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him.” ~ Mark 14:12c-13 #Bible

#2. “A man carrying a jar of water will meet you.” Beloved, besides where you go, who you meet in life is also very important in getting to your prepared place. May you meet the right people at the right place and time. And you see, the man was carrying a jar of water, he looked ordinary, even worse a servant. There are people you’ll meet in life who do not look great, they look simple and ordinary, but they carry directions to your destiny and they’ll lead you to it.

Be careful who you despise in life. “He is poor; she didn’t go to University; they’re not my social class; they’re not brilliant, etc.” Please, don’t let how people look now determine how you treat them. Especially if they’re carrying the water of the Holy Spirit. Before you know it, their lives will be transformed. One day David got into serious trouble. His camp was raided by his enemies and his wives and properties and those of his men were taken away.

It was such a bad time, so much so, his own men wanted to kill him. He inquired from the Lord and God said, “Pursue your enemies and rescue your people…” Now as they pursued, they met an Egyptian slave, left by the wayside to die. Note that God didn’t tell David a slave would help him. David just met a despised, hungry slave there, he treated him well, gave him food and water, and that same slave turned out to be his destiny helper (1 Samuel 30:1-20).

I pray, may we meet our destiny helpers and may we not despise them, however way they may look now (To be continued). Stay blessed and share with friends and family.
