Everyone is crazy about something! Some are crazy about soccer, some are crazy about fashion, some are crazy about parties, some are crazy about music and dance (recently there was the One Corner Craze in Ghana that spread throughout Africa), etc. What are you crazy about?

The Lord’s message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God. ~ 1 Thessalonians 1:8‭-‬9 #Bible

This may be shocking to you but few Christians are crazy for God! We don’t seem to get it that the best thing that could happen to us is to be chosen by God. If we did, we’d be crazy about God and make our faith be known everywhere! (Just as it was for this dance). But the Christian of the day isn’t even crazy about the presence of the Lord, how can you be crazy for God anywhere else?

One of the places Christians should love to be is in a word-based church! This is a place where God’s word is taught with understanding, clarity, with power and the Holy Spirit’s conviction. Beloved, find a place where God’s word is taught and love to be there.

The presence of God is supposed to be a place where lives are truly transformed. V.9 “They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.”

As you fellowship, your life will get better, day by day, month by month, year after year. Know this: the word of God, with the power of the Holy Spirit, is what changes our lives. People will see and tell how you have been transformed (v.9).

Side note: it is hard to get in shape spiritually if you only workout on Sundays. Some of us spend most of our daily time in the virtual world, social media. If so, you can still find a place where they share God’s word in clarity and power and follow.

This is why Alone With God Devotional is on social media. We do not aim to replace your local Church, no, not at all! We aim to edify you daily with the Word of God, with understanding and clarity of writing and with the power of the Holy Spirit.

And oh, as you read the devotionals your life will get better and better! We hope to stir in you a love for a personal and intimate relationship with God. Because when this happens, you’ll be crazy for God everywhere: home, school, work, Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc. You’ll have a ‘one-corner craze’ for God.
