“If fornication is sin, why didn’t God wait and give us strong sexual desires when we get married 💍? And what is love anyway? Does physical attraction and desire not count with the Godly kind of love ❤?”

KB speaks:
“I believe God could have done that, and cause us to have strong sexual desire after we marry. Truth is, even with that people will still commit adultery. I think God does this to test our faith. Bible says, “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God.”

So just like when you’re being taught in school and examined the end of the semester, so does God teach us His word to build our faith and the tests or trials are like exams for us.

On the second part: The word love is divine and is an action word: that is, anything you do out of commitment, sacrifice, patience, faithfulness, etc. Above all I’ve mentioned, attraction and desire counts (but be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts Prov 4:23 GNT).

So let’s be very careful with what attracts us and what we desire for, and in all this, let us be led by the Spirit of God.” ~ Benjamin Boakye Mensah (Fbk: Kweku Boakye; IG: Dr_quebe)

Prissy Speaks:
“Well God has already given us the sexual desire so what we need to do is to exercise self control. If God gives an assignment or task, He gives us the grace and equips us for it but we need to be sensitive to when exactly we must execute the assignment…

In that same vein, God wants us to procreate and fill this earth so He has given us the resources we need before it gets to the time we need to procreate: our sexual desires. The Bible has also clearly stated we do not fornicate. We need to pray for the fruit of the Spirit; self control..

And for the second part, are you talking about physical attraction to the opposite sex? I think it does slightly with the type of generation we are in. But it wasn’t supposed to count in the Godly love.

For even in choosing a partner if you use the physical characteristics, you will fail completely. The ultimate thing to do is to seek direction from God in choosing a partner. We must seek God’s perfect will for us.” ~ Prissy Feneba Afful
