“Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord. For there is hope for the future and your expectations will not be cut off” ~ Proverbs 23:17-18.

The envy of sinners is one of the greatest traps many young believers fall into. Often we look at our peers who seem to be having fun and enjoying the fantasies of this life and we wish we could be like them. (Can you relate to this?)

The Bible says “the righteous is more excellent than his neighbour but the way of the sinner seduces them” (Prov 12:26).

Even the great psalmist almost fell for this ancient trap of the enemy. This is what he said:

“As for me my feet nearly slipped and I envied the arrogant… when I saw the prosperity of the wicked …until I entered into the sanctuary of the Lord“ (Read Psalm 73:2-3, 17).

Indeed, it is only when you have spent quality time in the presence of God that you catch a revelation of what’s in store for the righteous. Dear friend, your end is a glorious one! But for you to fully grasp this, you must develop a personal quiet time with the Lord!

The Bible says “In His presence there is fullness of joy and at His right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

I will urge you to heed the wisdom in today’s memory verse: “always be zealous for the fear of the Lord”; for eyes have not seen neither has ears heard the things God has in store for them that love Him.

  • Listen, your future is so bright it’s even intimidating to the devil.
  • Keep your hope alive in God!
  • The Psalmist says do not fret because of those who do evil… but mark the righteous, the end of the man is Peace (Read Psalms 37:1, 37).

I see a glorious future ahead of you if you will keep serving the Lord in Zeal. You haven’t seen anything yet, your best years are ahead of you! ~ Rev Simon Ampofo.
