I woke up rather late on the 29th of December (2016), to loud shouts around my area. As these cries got louder, I could also hear multiple voices and loud thuds.

  • I was curious so I got up and went to the window to check out what was going on… Six men were surrounding one young boy.
  • One of the men had grabbed onto this young man and everyone was beating him – at will – with anything they could lay hands on.
  • I couldn’t hear what was being said so I locked my door and went out to the beautiful Gaza forecourt (which was slowly turning into a murder scene).
  • I inquired of one of the security guards why they were beating the young man and he confirmed my suspicions:
  • The young boy was an alleged thief, caught breaking into one of the Gaza rooms. As I watched on, multiple hits were landed on this poor man and he kept screaming:

“Ewuradze gye me o! Oh Ewuradze wo w) hen? Wo tsei me a, gye me ai!” (Translated: Lord save me, Oh God where are you? If you can hear me, please save me).

My heart went out for the young man; I couldn’t stand watching them beat this guy. The police came some minutes after that; surprisingly the guy lived. He was the boy who lived.

  • As I walked back to my room, his plea kept resounding in my ears: “Lord save me.” It was surprising, to hear him cry to God for salvation/deliverance.
  • But it reminded me of the plea of the dying thief on Jesus’ side who said: “Lord, remember me in your Kingdom.”
  • The dying thief knew that Jesus had a Kingdom, just as the boy knew God could save him; but they both had waited till their perishing moments to call on Him.

Thankfully, our God hears us when we cry out to Him, even in our last minute. But who are we to gamble on death, which takes you before you know it.

  • We shall all surely have forever or eternity, but the kind of forever you get is a function of what you do in your temporary.
  • This was why the rich man in Luke 12 was called a fool; he didn’t have eternity in mind and he was not rich towards God.
  • While you have life, while there is still breath, hold on to Jesus now! Come to Jesus now! Seek Him wholeheartedly now! Reach out and grab Him; don’t let this moment pass you by. Do it now!

Pray with me, say, “Lord Jesus, I believe you came to die for a sinner like me, to give me eternal life. Come be the Lord and saviour of my life. I open the door of my heart and I let you in. Let the Holy Spirit teach and guide me in this new walk, Amen!”

Congratulations!! I tell you today, heaven rejoices because of you! If you prayed this prayer for the first time or you just re-dedicated your life to God, please reach out to us now...!

We have a special gift for you and we want to help you in this walk of faith.
