  • We are super grateful for all of you who joined in for this Quiet Time Challenge📖🤍 We hope it was worth your time, and it was a great blessing to you as it was to us.
  • We look forward to more opportunities to grow in the Lord together and interact as one loving online Christian family (join the family?).

I have also acquired Ruth the Moabite, Mahlon’s widow, as my wife, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property, so that his name will not disappear from among his family or from his hometown. Today you are witnesses!” ~ Ruth 4:10

Who doesn’t love a love story—especially one that ends with hope and joy? Weddings have always carried a sense of wonder.

Brides dream of the day they will walk down the aisle, radiant in beauty, while grooms often find themselves overwhelmed with emotion, as they behold the one who has chosen to share life with them. It is a moment where love, commitment, and destiny converge.

  • But what of Ruth, the Moabite widow who left everything familiar to follow her mother-in-law Naomi into a foreign land?
  • Did she ever imagine that her story would end in such sweetness?
  • Surely, she could not have foreseen that she would one day become the wife of Boaz—a man of wealth, influence, and integrity.

Her days of gleaning in the fields, gathering scraps to survive must have seemed endless. Yet in the quiet unfolding of providence, her life was being rewritten – a life where marriage to Boaz was her portion. How sweet!

As much as a man’s love can be sweet and endearing, the greatest sweetheart we can ever have is God. Now, imagine hearing these words straight from God’s lips:

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” ~ Jer. 31:3b

God is not shy to talk about His love for His people. “Since you are precious and honoured in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.” Isaiah 43:4

Sometimes, when we find ourselves in difficult situations, we wonder if God truly loves us, and we wonder how things can turn around in our lives, but God is a master at turnarounds!

  • When Naomi came back to Bethlehem, she was a broken woman. She even wanted to change her name.
  • She was not hopeful and was not anticipating her circumstances to change.
  • But it was if God was saying, “Naomi, just watch me!”

“The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel! He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.” ~ Ruth 4:14

Then Naomi took the child in her arms and cared for him. The women living there said, “Naomi has a son!” And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.” ~ Ruth 4:16-17

The child born to Ruth and Boaz, Obed, was more than just a baby—he was a sign of God’s favour. The women of Bethlehem even said, “Naomi has a son!” though biologically, he was Ruth’s. This shows how the community recognized Naomi’s restoration.

  • Naomi did not just have an ‘ordinary’ grandson.
  • She had a grandson who became the grandfather of the greatest king Israel ever had – King David!
  • And through him came the Messiah himself – Jesus Christ.
  • Naomi’s story of loss turned into a story of eternal redemption for all humanity.

And that dear reader, is the heart of the Gospel. That we who had no hope in this world have been born again into a new hope. The beauty of the Gospel is that:

i.) Christ came to redeem us from our sins.

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” ~ Gal. 3:13

ii.) That in redeeming us, He became our savior.

“God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Saviour that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.” ~ Acts 5:31

iii.) And as our savior, He calls those of us He has redeemed His friends.

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Boaz would always be remembered as the one who redeemed Ruth and gave her a secure and hopeful future. But one greater than Boaz is here.

And He is Jesus Christ – our Redeemer, our Saviour, and our truest Friendthe One who steps into our story, pays the highest price, and calls us His own. It doesn’t get any better than that! ~ Lady Minister Akua Amprofi

Are you a friend of God, and will you be a part of the heavenly family reunion?

The Bible says you can only get to heaven by trusting in God through his Son, Jesus Christ. You cannot earn your way into heaven: “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV).

If you’re ready to commit your life to Jesus and be His friend, we can start with this prayer:

“Dear Heavenly Father, you have promised that if I believe in your Son, Jesus Christ, everything I’ve ever done wrong will be forgiven, I will learn the purpose of my life, and you will accept me into your eternal home in heaven one day. I believe Jesus loves me and came to die for me on the cross, to redeem me and give me life abundantly. I accept this great love and salvation. Today, I ask Jesus to be Lord and master of my life, and my friend. Give me your Holy Spirit to walk in this new life, in Jesus’ name I pray.”

Congratulations! Heaven rejoices because of you. Welcome to the family🤗 You’ve made a life changing decision you will never regret.
If you just prayed this prayer for the first time, or you just re-dedicated your life to Christ, we want to keep in touch with you and also send you a book to help you on this journey (click here).

  1. I enjoyed the 50 day challenge: thank you! I can’t remember whether it’s a leap year in 2026, but how about a 365/366 day challenge for the next year, if Jesus delays his return? God bless 🙂
