Today, we are super blessed to have Lady Minister Akua Amprofi, share a powerful wisdom nugget from Proverbs 25 with us. Receive wisdom, understanding and instruction as you read.

“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.” – Proverbs 25:11 (NKJV)

  • Imagine just how beautiful it will be to actually see apples of gold in settings of silver! I’m sure you will love it if someone gave you a gift like this.
  • Now visualize that this is how your words appear whenever you speak words that are apt and beneficial. Lovely, isn’t it?

Colossians 4:6 tells us, “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how to answer each one.” (NKJV)

God is particular about the words we use as Christians. He wants us to ensure that whatever we say is said well. If you evaluate your words, are they befitting of your status as a child of the Most High God?

  • Are they appropriate? Are they full of grace?
  • Are they seasoned with salt? Can they be taken in and not cause indigestion?
  • Are you able to say words that meet particular needs?
  • Will people love to hear you speak?
  • Or do they dread hearing the words that are likely to come out of your mouth?

It’s not too late to pray as the Psalmist did in Psalm 19:14.

“Let the words of my mouth…be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.”

  • Jesus knew how to answer anyone who came to Him. And He calls us to learn from Him and do likewise.
  • Yes, we may falter sometimes in our speech, but we can rise up and seek to do better. We can be conduits of wise words, like Jesus was.

May the Lord help us! That from henceforth, our words shall be fitly spoken and they shall indeed be like apples of gold in settings of silver! – LM Akua Amprofi (IG: akuaampromfi).

Hey, you're blessed and highly favoured and dearly loved!
