“There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand: …the way of a man with a young woman” ~ Proverbs 30:18-19.
- Solomon says one of the wonders of the world is the way of a man with a young woman. It is beyond understanding.
- Some years ago the world was awoken to a shock when Prince Harry decided to take the hand of Meghan Markle, a black American woman, in marriage.
- But we were in for an even greater shock when the two love birds decided to drop their royal status and privileges, in order to pursue their dream love life.

In another development, Princess Mako, a Japanese royal, gave up her royal status in order to marry her commoner boyfriend.
- These and many other stories abound to show the extent people go in pursuit of love. The Bible says “the way of a man with a young woman is beyond understanding…” (You just can’t think far!).
- As children of God, it is important for us to subject our emotions and choices to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in matters of love.

- No matter how you feel about that other person, a great deal of prayerful consideration, Godly wisdom and decision should go into your choice of a life partner (Read Matt 1:19-20, Gen 24:12-14).
- Because love is a decision and/or a commitment one makes with corresponding action (John 3:16); love is not a feeling (1 Cor 13:4-8a).
- The Bible does not tell us to ‘fall in love‘ (signifying an accidental event we don’t see coming) but rather to ‘walk in love‘ (which signifies intentionally choosing your steps and making decisions daily) (Ephesians 5:2).
Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. (Matt 1:19-20)

12 Then he prayed, “Lord, God of my master Abraham, make me successful today, and show kindness to my master Abraham. 13 See, I am standing beside this spring, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water.
14 May it be that when I say to a young woman, ‘Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I’ll water your camels too’—let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.” (Gen 24:12-14)
We are cautioned by the wise king “not to awaken love until the time is right” (Songs of Solomon 2:7 NLT).
Be patient, invest much prayer and seek counsel before you make a move. May the Lord lead and help you to get it right in matters of the heart. ~ Rev Simon Ampofo.

Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Do not add to His words, or He will rebuke you and prove you a liar. ~ Proverbs 30:5-6
Every word of God is flawless…Wow! You recall Jesus said that God’s word fills us just like food does? “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matt 4:4).
Which means God’s word is a full healthy meal. Question is: Do you ‘eat’ God’s word?

- Today, we want to give you the opportunity to share a verse/passage of scripture from MEMORY; something you’ve ‘eaten’ before (post it in the comments).
- Join in and let’s celebrate the comfort, the strength, and the power of God from His Word.
- This is mine: “Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it springs the issues of life. ~ Proverbs 4:23.

“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him—”1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV
As Rev Simon Ampofo said ;
Be patient, invest much prayer and seek counsel before you make a move. May the Lord lead and help you to get it right in matters of the heart. He was right in saying that. In the begin God created the heavens and the earth, and later created man to be a steward of his creation. Later on, he created a woman called Eve to be a helper for Adam and not the other way round. In our world today, many either a man or woman, see themselves as the center of thier relationships, if that is they are in one. If “man” puts himself at the center of his or her relationship, then I ask, where is God’s position in the relationship?
No wonder in proverbs 4:23 the Bible says; Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it springs the issues of life.
God knows that the human heart is fragile and deceitful, that is why he said guard it with all diligence. And the best way to guard it is to put God at the center. And putting God at the center is to do his will. I pray that weather we are in a relationship or not, we should not stripe our status as children of God for love(emotional attachment) just as the people mentioned in the message did.
