Even though some of you may say otherwise, I personally know I may have been a bad friend to some of you… and even no friend at all to others; (mercy…)

Buy the truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding. ~ Proverbs 23:23

Reason has grown with me; or us if you’re included. Many of us are using the power of reason and human reasoning to indulge in our own sinful pleasures. We receive God’s commands, but we do not keep them. Some even accept God’s word, and then disobey it.

Some of us are also so smart and clever, we tend to know who God’s word is for and how it does not apply to us: “Adwoa/Kojo Smart.”

Question is: What excuse will you and I have to offer on the day of reckoning? (Heb 9:27).
“Lord, I did not know/hear about you?” OR “Lord, I knew you uphold purity and detest fornication, but I was madly in love, and we didn’t hurt anybody else.”

“Lord I knew you longed for me to spend time in your presence, but you also know that I was busy with work and studies, you see, and the pleasures life has to offer, so I couldn’t make time for you.”

“Lord, you see, you didn’t mention verbatim that pornography and masturbation is a sin o, so that one de3, 3nnka ho [not included]. After all it’s my own body.”

All these and many more are some of the excuses we give.

I have recently come to understand that we have “churched” unbelievers. They know about church and may even attend but they don’t believe in God’s Word.

We have Gracefields unbelievers, Charismatic unbelievers, Methodist unbelievers, Pentecost unbelievers, Catholic unbelievers, etc. There are people who belong to a church, or a Christian fellowship, but are unbelievers.

You’re shocked [eh]? Same here. But it is true. And more shocking is that you and I can easily be one of such.

How so? Because we profess a certain form of godliness; but only the ones that make us feel and look good (2 Tim 3:1-6).

With our many excuses, we deny God’s power to truly transform and change us…and as such, we are led away by our diverse cravings and lusts.

  • Dear friend, the Bible shows that one day God’s patience with mankind will cease.
  • On that day, mercy will cease and judgment will reign. We shall ALL stand before the great white throne to receive our judgement for the things we have done… (Rev 20:11-12)
  • We will all give an account for how we lived on this earth one day before God; It is what we call the Judgement day. It is coming and it will surely come.

Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. – Rev 20:11-12

God will be pleased with His faithful ones who worship Him in Spirit and in truth. He will be pleased with those who praise and honor Him and declare His name to the world. Such people, are His valuable treasure.

Truth is, God does not wish that anyone will perish but that sinners will come to repentance, that the lost will know the way, the distressed will find peace, the broken hearted be healed.

In Christ, all this and many more is found.

So yes, forgive me for being a bad friend… if I have never told you about Jesus and about this truth (2 Cor 5:11). Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade you to serve the Lord.

Truth is Jesus; you buy with repentance and your whole heart, a heart of full devotion to Him. Will you pray with me?

“Lord Jesus, I accept you into my life as my Lord and Saviour. I believe you came to die for my sins that I may have a place in your kingdom. I deny any form godliness that lacks your Holy Spirit’s power for transformation.

From today, I am born again and I will worship you in Spirit and in truth. Thank you for this love, thank you for your grace towards me. Please write my name in the book of life, Amen!”

Congratulations! Heaven rejoices because of you. Welcome to the family🤗 You’ve made a life changing decision you will never regret.
