Today, we want to share with you the second direction Jesus gives for us to get to our prepared place.

Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” So he sent two of his disciples, telling them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him.” ~ Mark 14:12c-13

#2. “A man carrying a jar of water will meet you.”

Beloved, besides where you go, who you meet in life is also very important in getting to your prepared place. May we meet the right people, at the right place and time!

  • You see, the disciples were to meet a man carrying a jar of water. He looked and was very ordinary; even worse, he was probably a servant.
  • There are people you’ll meet in life who do not look great – they look simple and ordinary – but they carry directions to your destiny, and they’ll lead you to it.

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin… ~ Zechariah 4:10a

  • Dear friend, be careful who you despise in life. “He is poor; she didn’t go to University; they’re not my social class; they’re not brilliant, he’s just a servant, etc.”
  • Please, let us not allow how people look now determine how we treat them. Else, we will make grave errors.
  • Especially if they’re carrying the water of the Holy Spirit (John 7:37). Before you know it, their lives will be totally transformed!
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) John 7:37-38

One day, David got into serious trouble. His camp was raided by his enemies, and his wives and properties; as well as those of his men were taken away. It was such a bad time; so much so, his own men wanted to kill him.

David inquired from the Lord and God said, “Pursue your enemies and rescue your people…” Now as they pursued, they met an Egyptian slave, left by the wayside to die.

  • Note that God didn’t tell David a slave would help him on the way (that wasn’t in the enquiry).
  • David just met a despised, hungry slave there. David decided to treat this slave well; gave him food and water, etc. And that same slave turned out to be his destiny helper.
  • That slave that David helped, was the one who led them to recover all they had lost and even gain more (Read 1 Samuel 30:1-20).

I pray, may we meet our destiny helpers and may we not despise them, however way they may look now. Today, pray for the spirit of discernment (To be continued…).
