We’ve seen from scripture how God wants us to let go of our anxieties and trust in Him because He has a place prepared for us. Over the next couple of days, I want us to take a look at Jesus’ directions that led to this prepared place.
Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” So he sent two of his disciples, telling them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him.” ~ Mark 14:12c-13 #Bible
#1. “Go into the city…” Beloved, where you go in this life is vital in getting to your prepared place! Let the leading of the Holy Spirit determine where you go. The Bible says, “The steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord…” Please, I beg you, delight to go to a good place where your life can be provoked to good works. Let the Lord order your steps.
Psalm 1 shows us some ‘places’ to stay clear of: the counsel of the wicked, the way of sinners, the seat of mockers. Why do we need to stay clear of such company or places? Because where you go determines where you’ll end up. David said, “He leads me in the path of righteousness… He makes me lie down in green pastures.”
Once there’s a righteous path, believe this, there’s also a path of wickedness and darkness. Once there are green pastures, there are also dry and thirsty lands.
It is not everywhere you go to that you’ll thrive/flourish. Its not every business, every city or country that you’ll flourish. Listen, it’s not every place we go to o. In the Lord’s prayer Jesus teaches us to pray, “Lead us not into…” He’s talking about places. It’s as if there are mines(explosives) planted at some places in this life, but I pray that God will deliver us from them all.
(To be continued…) Stay blessed and share with friends and family.
