There was this guy, a multimillionaire, and his land yielded a booming harvest. So he decided to tear down his old warehouses and build bigger ones, and store all the extra goodies. Then he said, “Oh my soul, you have plenty of food stored up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and party!” Well his story doesn’t end there, let’s see what happens next:

“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” Luke 12:20‭-‬21 #Bible

“Who will get what you have prepared…” You see, God didn’t have a problem with him being rich. No! God wanted to know who will ‘get or gain‘ from his riches, who will be blessed by his wealth. But this guy had a ‘wineskin’ that cared only about himself; me, myself and I!

Beloved if you’re stingy in giving and helping others, it means you don’t understand that God is the one who gives us the power to make wealth, thus He can’t bless you with true riches and wealth.

Dear Christian, if you cannot understand that your body is the temple of God, and you treat it anyhow, do anything you like with it, how can the Holy Spirit dwell in it and release new wine into it?

Do tell me if I’m wrong, but if you do not understand that it is God who makes a person great and successful, and thus humble yourself before Him, how can He make you great? (If He does it for you, you’re going to be proud and conceited, looking down on others instead of helping them).

If you don’t understand that your gifts and talents are to be used for His glory and you’re hiding them, how can He add more and multiply what you have? If you can’t give your five (5) loaves of bread, how can it be multiplied to bless 5000+ people?

No Sir, No Ma’am! He needs to first transform you from old wineskin to new wineskin; from pride to humility, from filth to purity, from brokenness to restoration, from ignorance to revelation. So Jesus says, “New wine is poured into new wineskin…and what’s more, both are preserved!”

Beloved, yield yourself and allow the Holy Spirit to transform your life so that He can pour down His blessings upon you. Yield your pride for humility, yield your little for His plenty, yield your righteousness for His, etc. Oh and if you yield, you will be preserved, that is certain.

The Holy Spirit will preserve your life and all your blessings will be preserved as well: “The blessing of the Lord maketh rich and addeth no sorrow.” Stay blessed and share with others.
