So here is one issue I am very passionate about as a young woman. I hadn’t thought much about sharing it with the world but I know I should because God found a way to unseal my lips. All of my thoughts may not fit in here but I surely won’t be silent on this anymore.
Have you ever thought, “I see what’s going on in the world… stuff happen, people die, people get ill, poverty everywhere, unrepentant souls and all but it looks like that’s all the mischief the devil is up to?”
Do you sometimes feel perhaps the devil isn’t doing as much as our pastors and ministers make so much noise about? Perhaps we are blowing the whole ‘devil’ thing out of proportion? Like this could all even be some Ananse story (possible, couldn’t it be?)

“You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled.” ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:5-6
Well, recently I was scrolling through my contacts on WhatsApp when I came across a dp that read: “Ladies, there is no faith in a man, not even a brother. So if you must love, love one another.”
Now I don’t know if it may seem strange that I panicked but I did. And then I was frightened. I mean…”if you must love, love another?” and “…no faith in a man not even a brother…”?
I wanted, needed to ask something and I did (details omitted). My friend of course, was quick to build a good defence against it and it all ended with her assuring me no harm would be done to the young ladies who have no idea what this whole thing is really about (which is probably someone’s bad experience with one man or another, being painted with bright girl power paint).
I guess you probably know what I am getting at by now. Or maybe you’re still wondering what the story has to do with the works of the devil.

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith…” ~ 1 Peter 5:8-9a
Okay, so fast forward to today, I saw a piece so powerful (cited below), I shared it and it’s the reason I am writing this. I read in there everything I needed to make me realise (all over again), just how much danger we are in (especially as youth in this generation) with where the world is headed.
If you think the attack on humanity and mission ‘send-the-world-to-hell’ is limited to disaster, poverty, crime and sickness, let me introduce you to the camouflage of ‘Liberation‘ and ‘Enlightenment’. Oh why don’t we say hello to Gender Militancy and the ‘New Age’?
Lots and lots of ideas pass under the labels stated above including the one that worries me so much: the struggle between man and woman over apparently everything. Aaba!

Read this piece my friend Gracie shared with me:
“God’s remedy for the one thing about His creation that was not ‘complete’ was to make a helper that was “suitable” to man. The Hebrew word that is translated “suitable” here is neged (neh’-ghed), which can be translated “opposite part” or “a counterpart.”
To be a helpmate, the woman needed to be different from the man—not a difference that conflicted with him, but rather one that complimented him. She would have the part that he was missing. To be whole he needed her, and she needed him.
It has been a primary strategy of the enemy to blur the distinctions between men and women and deceive them into thinking they do not need each other.”
I mean, do I even need to say it? Scream it!? So many lies are out there disguised as fact/truth! Camouflage! And they’re hidden so well you can’t even begin to try to tackle it; camouflage! (How can you correct something that’s not even wrong in the first place?).

And trust me, if we’re not careful, we may even be able to relate and identify with some of these disguised lies probably because of the absence of true love that leads us to continually offend/hurt/bring down/destroy one another and kill trust in humanity.
On the other hand, for some, it is almost like a ‘cool’ trend to identify with such ideas because some mentors (musician, journalist, movie star, etc.) believes in them too. Remember, make God’s Word the standard for your life.

I admit I feel helpless sometimes (Lord, strengthen me) and I feel like I can’t win. But in my weakness God is glorified; for with revelation comes Freedom and true liberation. Freedom for all who will come to Jesus, the Word. The Word says to ask for wisdom and believe that God will grant it because He will, without finding fault. I encourage you to choose that wisdom.
So I say,
“I choose my Bible over ‘Liberation’; over ‘the new-age’; over ‘enlightenment’ because here in Jesus, the Word, I have the answer to every question I can ever ask, the solution to every problem I may face, the healing for every emotional and psychological battle I may need to fight (and even not on my own).”
Dear precious child of God, there’s an urgent invitation to see and led by the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth. Will you?
~ Miama Adjetey.

May Grace teach us and help us live in truth. Stay blessed.
