Knowing the truth and telling the truth might sound the same but in their application and demonstration, they are VERY VERY different.
Knowing the truth empowers you to walk in the realm of intelligence and do exploits in the game of life. It brings you liberation and freedom.
Telling the truth on the other hand, pushes you to walk in the realm of integrity and allows you to bring liberation to other people.

Dearly beloved, please listen, pay heed to these words. It is not every truth that must be told. Some truths are only meant to be known.
Jesus said, “You shall know the truth” and NOT “You shall tell the truth.” The truth you know is what liberates you, the truth you tell is what liberates others.
One day the disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.”
(Matthew 13:10-11).

If you are privileged to have access into the house of the CEO of the company you work in, whatever you see in that house (that is not illegal) is not a truth to be told.
For instance, if you chance upon the CEO having an dissent with their wife or husband, you don’t go about sharing that truth because that truth is not part of your job description.
But if you work in a company and you are aware of people defrauding the company, that truth is meant to be to told to the right people.
“Loyalty is to the higher authority.”
So if at your workplace, you are aware that your colleagues are stealing, that truth is meant to be told to leadership. If you are in a group and you are aware of a conspiracy against the group or against your leader, that truth is meant to be told. Remember that loyalty is to the higher authority.
In like manner, if you have a child somewhere and you are ready to get married, that truth is meant to be told to the person you are supposed to be getting married to, at the right time.

Please understand that truth abused, misused and mistold, will lead to lives confused, reduced and bondaged beyond recovery..
There’s nothing as frustrating as re-correcting the error of abused truth!
In this matter, half-truths are sometimes more dangerous to deal with than blatant lies.
“Truth untold because of supposed love is hypocrisy, yet truth told without love is Brutality!”
The right truth, told to the right people will lead to breakthrough. The right truth told to the wrong people will bring confusion, strife, loss, and death of destiny…

And so I love the verse of a song that says, “Bridle my tongue, let my words edify. Let the words of my mouth be acceptable in thy sight…” (Lyrics of Order my steps).
May you know when to say what, and who to tell what to. And may the Lord reveal deep truths to you so you can make it to your next level. He says, “I no longer call you servants… I call you friends…” May you be a friend of God this season.
Stay blessed and do share with friends and family.
