This is worth sharing over and over again… “I’m the man!”

A father takes his son into the deep forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone.
The young boy is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it.

He cannot cry out for help to anyone. Once he survives this night, he is a MAN.

The boy is naturally terrified.

He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him.
Maybe even some human might do him harm.
What if a storm hits?
As if his thoughts were being read, the wind blew vehemently all night; he could periodically feel something crawl over his legs, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold.

It would be the only way he could become a man!

Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold.

It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump next to him; He had been at watch with his sword the entire night, protecting his son from harm.

We are never alone and we never walk alone. Even when we don’t know it, God is watching over us, sitting on the stump beside us. When you’re going through a test in life, and you’re faced with fear of the unknown, remember this story and remember God is right there by your side. When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to Him.

“The true test of a man therefore, is who stands vigil to keep watch over him through his night seasons and life tests.” ~ eboham

Remember, the father was keeping watch over HIS son..

If you do not have a relationship with God as your Father, you do not have this covering.

When the night season of life comes (and it will), when the wild beasts turn on you (and they will), when the storms of life blow vehemently (oh they’ll surely blow), who stands vigil to keep watch over you?

“(God) will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

Beloved, just because you can’t see God, doesn’t mean He is not there again ‘eventuarry’; He responds to your faith and He calls out to you today:

Heavenly father, thank you for sending your son to die on the cross to save me from my sin and eternal death. I accept Jesus as the Lord of my life and I believe you’re with me at all times. Let your Holy Spirit guide me and teach me to walk in your ways, Amen.”

Congratulations!! You’ve made the greatest decision in life.
