”Remember this: The lips of a seductress seem sweet like honey, and her smooth words are like music in your ears. But I promise you this: In the end all you’ll be left with is a bitter conscience. For the sting of your sin will pierce your soul like a sword. She will ruin your life, drag you down to death, and lead you straight to hell. She has prevented many from considering the paths of life. Yes, she will take you with her where you don’t want to go, sliding down a slippery road and not even realizing where the two of you will end up!“
Proverbs 5:3-6 TPT

Welcome to the fifth chapter of our treasure hunt. Today, King Solomon speaks to us about a seductress; one who employs the art of seduction. Solomon uses the concept of a seductive woman to illustrate how many are led away from wisdom. It’s the seduction of an alluring facade.
Seduction: the art of tempting or attracting someone into an act of sex
Alluring: powerfully and mysteriously attractive or fascinating
Facade: a deceptive outward appearance
Truth be told, many of the paths which have no bearing with God and His wisdom, are pleasing to our senses. They are as sweet as honey. The aim of the seductress is to bring us to the point of intimacy. This intimacy is with a world that Paul says we abhor (Romans 12:1-2), and leads to death.

Countless options and opportunities will come our way and tickle our very desires. But through the lens of God’s wisdom, they should have no acquaintance with us.
We must remember that Eve was “seduced” by the serpent’s wiles (cunning tricks). She was tempted to intermingle with sin. The Devil still uses such techniques today.

We must be on the lookout to know the consequences of every choice before us to not choose wrongly. If not, you’ll swept in a craze of being ruled by your carnality as a human and being swayed by every word of the seductive serpent, the devil.
You will not realize where your companionship with him will end you up, but be certain that, it will not be anything glorious.
The only gift to the people who partner with the seductress is this, a bitter conscience. And this gift mounts tremendous guilt upon the soul of its receiver. Solomon puts it this way; “For the sting of your sin will pierce your soul like a sword.”
Concluding thoughts: @ind_muzic
These verses of this chapter are the warnings of King Solomon against forbidden women and adultery. Probably he spoke about these things after pondering the fate of his own father, David.
🤔However, did the wisest king, write this chapter before or after he also fell victim to this same issue of taking forbidden women as wives and in adultery?
🤔 If it was before, then I think we all have to take heed, because it is easier to give good advice than to follow it.
I pray God will grant us the grace to be doers of His Word. We thank Him for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who will strengthen us as such 🙏🏽🙏🏽👍🏽.
