Today we are super blessed to have one of my mothers in the faith, Lady Pastor Ama Amuasi, share five (5) powerful wisdom nuggets from Proverbs 11 with us. Receive wisdom, understanding and instruction as you read.

1. Honesty brings stability (Proverbs 11:3):
“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.”
This verse emphasizes the importance of integrity in guiding one’s life, contrasting it with the downfall that comes from deceit. We must be open and transparent in our daily dealings as Christians.

2. Pride leads to downfall (Proverbs 11:2):
“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”
Pride often leads to failure, while humility brings wisdom and honor.

• Pride destroys by creating blind spots in a person’s life, leading them to make poor decisions, damage relationships, and invite downfall through overconfidence.
• Humility, in contrast, fosters self-awareness, learning, and healthy connections with others.

3. Generosity brings prosperity (Proverbs 11:25):
“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
Giving to others not only helps them but also brings blessings and fulfilment to the giver:

• Psychologically, it promotes happiness, reduces stress, and provides a sense of purpose.
• Socially, it strengthens relationships and fosters mutual support.
• Acts of giving also contribute to our personal growth by cultivating empathy and overcoming materialism.

4. Righteous living protects (Proverbs 11:5):
“The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.”
Living a righteous life leads to protection and direction, while wickedness leads to one’s own ruin.

5. Wise counsel leads to success (Proverbs 11:14):
“For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.”
Seeking and listening to wise advice brings success while ignoring guidance can lead to failure.
