The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!”“
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.” ~ Matthew 21:9-11
“The whole city was stirred…” You and I will agree that the cities of our nations need a stirring in this generation. The entry of our Lord Jesus is the catalyst for a stirring. Let Jesus have access to our cities, towns, villages, nations and social media.
There will be no stirring in our cities and nations if we do not make an entry for the Gospel of Jesus. The Bible says in Acts 8 that Philip went to Samaria and preached Christ—with the same results: great joy, miracles, revival and a stirring in the city.
Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city.

- Our cities and communities around the world can be stirred once again! It will take you and me to make an entry for Jesus! We must preach Christ!
- You would think that God would demonstrate His great power and send angels into the skies to preach to the nations about Jesus. But no, God is not going to send angels or dead saints.
- The rich man in hell asked Abraham to send Lazarus back to the world to preach to his brothers. Abraham answered and said: ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’
Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

- Moses represents teachers and the prophets are simply those who speak God’s mind or word to the people.
- So God is sending you and me for this all-important work, to preach Christ to the people and be saviours of men (1 Cor 1:21).
For since the world through all its [earthly] wisdom failed to recognize God, God in His wisdom was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached [regarding salvation] to save those who believe [in Christ and welcome Him as Savior]. ~ 1 Cor 1:21.
Three reasons why you must be a saviour of men:
#1. God desires everyone (all people) to be saved (1 Tim 2:4).
First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people, for kings and all who are in [positions of] high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
This [kind of praying] is good and acceptable and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, WHO DESIRES ALL PEOPLE TO BE SAVED and to come to the knowledge and recognition of the [divine] truth. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-4 AMP
God’s heart is beating for all mankind – everyone connected to you [beautiful and ugly, white and black, rich and poor, educated and not educated, etc.] – to be saved.

- Why does God desire to save all men? Because we all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way (Isaiah 53:6).
- Many people have gone their own way. We’ve missed the door and gone through the window, tunnels and different ways in search of many things (eg. riches, marriage, etc).
#2. God sent a Saviour (Jesus) to save all men (Luke 2:11, Matt 1:21)
"She will give birth to a Son, and you shall name Him Jesus (The Lord is salvation), for He will save His people from their sins.” ~ Matthew 1:21 AMP
In 2 Corinthians 5:19, we understand that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting people’s sins against them [but canceling them]. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation [that is, restoration to favor with God].” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:19 AMP

#3. God is sending you as a saviour to all men (Obadiah 1:21)
"Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau, and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s." ~ Obadiah 1:21 AMP
2 Corinthians 5:19b, "...And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation [that is, restoration to favor with God]."
- Jesus has left the scene and has given the baton of saving people to you and I. He is asking us to save others.
- There is a power or a mechanism in us to save all men! It is the power of the Holy Spirit and it is given to us to make us witnesses for Jesus (Acts 1:8).
- All you have to do is talk to people about Christ and share Him (especially on all your social media).
If you don’t talk to them, if you do not share about Jesus, they cannot be saved. Let’s make ourselves saviours of men and share Jesus with others. May much grace abound to you and hey… you’re blessed!
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” ~ Acts 1:8
