How many of us want to travel the world? Well I really do. Moreso, you and I have a mandate to travel the world. A mandate is something you’ve been asked to do, prepared to do or a task you’ve been asked to accomplish.
Thus as Christians, we have been asked to, we’ve been prepared to and we’ve been tasked to travel all over the world… The question is how? How can we travel all over the world?
“Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.” ~ Daniel 12:2-4 NIV #Bible
God gives Daniel a message and says in the last days many will die, some will go to heaven, some will go to hell. What’s more, in these last days the wise or the righteous will turn the hearts of many people to God, and they will shine like stars in heaven.
But the 4th verse says, (and I find this very interesting), “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased (v.4 KJV).”

So God is saying to Daniel, this message, (“many are going to die and the wise/righteous will win many to God”), might not be relevant to you and your generation because you are limited in knowledge, and you can’t move to and fro (traveling).
Nevertheless, write it down and seal it because a time is coming that knowledge shall be increased, people will be able to easily travel, then this message will be relevant.

I think we’re right to say knowledge has increased greatly since the time of Daniel and even more in our current generation. It’s as if we know everything in the world today. Look at all the recent technology we’re enjoying (perhaps it’s left with how to download food from the internet; I’m personally waiting for that one).
So you’ll see that you and I are in that time of the end that Daniel described. And true enough, we can easily move to and fro these days. Everyone and everything travels all over the world so fast. What am I talking about? Internet, Social Media.
Let something happen in China today, it will immediately travel to Australia, it won’t even take five minutes. For instance, most of you don’t know me or my location, but this message has traveled to you at the click of a button. So yes, I believe God was telling Daniel about our generation. And He says, “the righteous and wise will win many or turn many to God.”
Jesus made a similar statement: “And this Gospel will be preached to the whole world…” ~ Matthew 24:14.

Can I ask you a question: are you wise and are you one of the righteous? Beloved, as much as I understand there’s a lot of vices with social media, I believe God has orchestrated it to help spread the good news.
Three stats to humour you: 40% of the entire population (7.5 billion people) is on social media. On the average, the Christian spends 15 mins in prayer but 3 hours on social media. Last but not least, there are 2.07 billion people currently on Facebook, ~28% of the people on earth (statista.com; internetworldstats.com), and over a billion people on WhatsApp alone, etc.
So using social media to fulfill God’s mandate is somewhat easier now, you can travel over the internet to reach more people. Because of this, we can preach to people in Saudi Arabia, Philippines, Libya, wherever, without seeing them face to face. (Even if they don’t want to hear it, they can’t help it. Nothing is secret on social media.)
And so because almost anyone on social media can see your profile, for starters, let your page or profile be your platform to evangelize everyday and every week.
Secondly, intentionally pray and ask God to use that channel to win others and touch lives of people for Him. Because it is a platform for every kind of person… Last but not least, be selective as to what you post and share on social media.
Dear Christian, how are you the first to post a funny joke but the last to share your Jesus? The former is not a sin, but which is priority? Also dear Christian, it will help you to follow your Pastors and pages like #AloneWithGodDevotional. You can follow and share or RT what they post.
