Who’s in?? It’s not too late to join
We’re moving in wisdom already and we encourage you to join in…. TAG YOUR FRIENDS!!
It’s 31 Days Of Wisdom; 1 Chapter a day for all of November, plus one in December.
Today we’re reading Proverbs 7😍; but here are some wisdom thoughts from yesterday’s reading of Proverbs 6:

Proverbs 6:27-28
Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned? Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched? #Bible
Today wise King Solomon talks about actions and their effects. We must understand that especially as Christians, every action we take has its effects, and they could be good or bad. We are not exempted from taking responsibility and initiating/committing to good actions for our lives and purpose.

One of the effects he talks about is the effects of committing wisdom to memory (v.20-22). So the action here is to commit wisdom to memory. He adds, “Fasten it around your neck:” which means wear it like a chain. So after you have committed wisdom to memory, let it be clear to all who see you that you are clothed in wisdom; don’t hide it.
My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. Bind them always on your heart; fasten them around your neck. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you. ~ Proverbs 6:20-22 NIV
This is one of the reasons why we’re having 31 Days of Wisdom. We want wisdom to be bound on our hearts so that wisdom speaks to us, guides us and watches over us at all times.
That’s a powerful effect, or what do you think? It’s like you have a personal GPS plus intercom system, you can call it the “WisG intercom.”

Then he goes into some more details in the V23, and this is where most young people have a BIG problem.
There is an aspect of wisdom which is simply learning to take commands (that’s all); and being taught to do things and receiving corrections of discipline.

When we put our pride away and submit ourselves to fathers and mothers, we will have light and direction to move on this path of life. That’s another great effect of wisdom.
(Think about this and write down your answers for yourself: which people can I identify as my fathers and mothers that I must submit to and receive teaching and commands and corrections from?)

Another action we can take from v6-11 is learning to store or gather during harvest season.
Dearly beloved, the Bible says that wise people learn this principle from the ant, sluggards do not. In the end, there are consequences for both actions/inactions.
Know this, Solomon himself did not experience poverty in his life but he observed all the poor people around him and their actions and came to a conclusion on the cause of their poverty:
How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man. ~ Proverbs 6:9-11 NIV
****************
Do not desire (lust after) her beauty in your heart, Nor let her capture you with her eyelashes. For on account of a prostitute one is reduced to a piece of bread [to be eaten up], And the immoral woman hunts [with a hook] the precious life [of a man]. ~ PROVERBS 6:25-26 AMP
Another thing he talks about is lust and adultery, with many different effects.
Can you imagine an effect that reduces a BIG man or woman, a whole Human being, to a LOAF OF BREAD (maybe paano eku or butter bread). He goes on to talk about adultery and minces no words by calling such a man/woman a fool.

So the effect of sleeping with someone who is not your MARRIED partner, is caused by you lacking judgement or you being a fool. (Ask yourself, am I a fool? So stop sleeping with people you’re not married to).
And there are more effects of this action: whoever does this destroys himself; blows and disgrace; and his shame will never be wiped away (shame and disgrace will be on you like a Tattoo, mercy)!
Please all these are not my words o, read the verses and see for yourself.
What actions can you start taking today so you can get desired effects in the days to come?
Stay blessed and kindly share your thoughts of wisdom on PROVERBS 7 today.
