A lady friend of mine, during a dawn prayer meeting a couple of years back, shared some insights to the story below I thought I’d share with you. This is it:
Luke 19:12-13, 15-17
Jesus said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’

15-17
“He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it. “The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’ “‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’ #Bible

Every kingdom has its secrets. There are secrets to the Ashanti Kingdom and the English Kingdom that are known by just a few, and those few enjoy the benefits of the kingdom.
Similarly, in God’s kingdom, there are secrets that are revealed to us for victorious living (“To you have been given the secrets of the kingdom…”). And today we share on how to have authority or to be given charge of things in the kingdom of God.
And this is made limpid in V.17: “Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied.‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’”
This is it:
Faithfulness to the little things (Minas) God has given us is what brings us into authority over Cities.

From this passage, everyone was given one mina, with an instruction to put it to work or to increase it. And those who were faithful to that one mina and used it, increased it 10 times and 5 times.
And in the end, they were upgraded to be in charge of cities! I wish you could really grasp the depth of this.

* All of us have been given something, a mina. How trustworthy are we with the small matters God has instructed us to do? How faithful are we in working with our one gift or ability or talent to advance His kingdom?
* Some of you can write, how faithful have we been in writing content to advance the kingdom?
* Some of you have wealth and can give to support or advance kingdom work, how faithful have we been in that? Remember, it is God who gives us the ability or power to make wealth.

* Some of you have fame and followers on your various social media. How faithful are you in advancing the kingdom through that?
You can share sermons, devotionals, spiritual songs, and testimonies on your Twitter, Facebook, IG, WhatsApp, etc.
* God has given you and I a small vineyard to work in Or a small group to lead/take care of and we’ve been remiss about it. How can He entrust more people to you?

* Some of you have songs embedded in you that must be released to advance the kingdom. Some of you have a burden for intercession and the kingdom desperately needs you to be interceding for others (AWG needs you).
You have gifts/abilities and minas (money) that the Kingdom of God can benefit from, what are you doing with these?
* How faithful are we to the instructions He’s given us? You know that the Holy Spirit has been prompting you to forgive that sister or ask for forgiveness from that brother, but you’re neglecting that and you’re praying, expecting God for an upgrade (Cities).
God is not going to do that for you because you will use that pride to lord it over those people, and despise them; even sack them out of your cities.

* You’re not faithful in tithing on the $200 you made or you got as a gift. How can God trust you with $1,000,000? You definitely won’t be able to give a tithe of $100,000 at that time; don’t deceive yourself, you won’t.
This is why I believe that some kinds of upgrade come only if we’re already fruitful and faithful.
What this means is that there are certain things we’re looking for, even praying for that will not come to us unless we humble ourselves and are faithful to God’s instructions and that mina we’ve been given.

* God desires to upgrade us to be in charge of Cities, but He’s asking us to first account for that mina. Don’t take it back to Him the same way.
As I share this, perhaps you can identify instructions you’ve also been given that you’ve neglected, giftings you’ve not developed, things you have not done.
Please take a minute or two to list them out and let’s pray together:
“Lord help me to be faithful and fruitful with every instruction, every gifting and talent, everything you’ve bequeathed/entrusted to me (mention them from your list). I humble myself and I ask for the Holy Spirit to help me obey what you’ve commanded me to do.”
May we move from Minas to Cities through our faithfulness and fruitfulness. More grace beloved.
God bless you and please share with all your friends and social media outlets.
