“From the fruit of their lips people enjoy good things but the unfaithful have an appetite for violence”~ Proverbs 13:2
The tongue is probably one of the most underestimated parts of our human body. But that little red thing that protrudes from your mouth👅 can make or unmake you in this life. It can either be a great blessing or create big trouble for you.

A wise person will therefore harness the power of his tongue for a greater good. Jesus said the words that we speak are Spirit and life (John 6:63).
So whether it’s a casual joke, a flattery, or an exaggeration, we must learn to keep this tongue 👅 in check. Otherwise, we may create serious problems for ourselves in this world.

Wars and violence for instance, are oftentimes a result of the wrong use of our tongues. Thankfully, the child of God is encouraged to use our speech to our advantage. Today’s verse says:“…good things are a bi-product of our words.”
That is to say that we attract good things into our lives by what we say. Even good success is also a result of what proceeds out of our mouth (Joshua 1:8).

However, it is impossible to keep saying the right things with your mouth without having the right heart ❤️. Jesus says, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” – Matt 12. I encourage you to cultivate the habit of speaking the right things out of a pure heart.
“For he who would love life and see many good days should keep his tongue from evil.” I see you creating a wonderful world for yourself and the people around by your words.
