Have you ever heard of Masada, an ancient fortress in Israel? Let me tell you a little about it…
- – It is one of the strongest and most massive fortresses of all time
- – It is renowned for its palaces and fortifications of Herod the Great (reigned 37 – 4 BCE)
- – It took the Roman army of almost 15,000, fighting a defending force of less than 1000 (including women and children) almost 2 years to subdue the Masada fortress…
But hey, don’t get carried away with history😅😹
Much more, I write concerning a strong fortress that has never been under siege. This fortress is the name of the LORD🔥🥰
The scripture says, “The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe..." A fortress is a well protected place, strong building, a place of defense and safety.
The LORD is the place of safety, preservation and defense of the Christian.
Be rest assured that your life, health, peace, career, finances, family, marriage, and all that concerns you are safe in the LORD (Psalms 91). Just abide in Him and always call upon His name (run to Him), Jesus! (Psalms 34:4-6)
"I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles." ~ Psalms 34:4-6
I have not forgotten about you, my dear friend, yes you! You who don’t know this Jesus, the greatest and strongest fortress of all time. I am more than happy to show you the road map to this magnificent fortress, the place of safety. Here you go:
- 📍Acknowledge that you are a sinner: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23)
- 📍You deserve death (eternal damnation) but Jesus (the fortress) offers you eternal life as a gift: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom 6:23)
- 📍Receive this gift by believing that Jesus died for you and was resurrected by the Father and confess Him Lord over your life: “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved…” (Rom 10:9-10)
- 🏰 You have arrived at your destination, the fortress, Jesus. “But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God” ~ John 1:12 (Read also: John 3:16, 1 John 5:11-13)
- Rejoice, be exceedingly glad, and don’t let the issues of life pin you down. This is because The LORD (Jesus) is your fortress!

Change my life and make it new and help me Lord, to live for You. Today, I choose to respond to your great love; thank you for loving me. Please give me your Spirit, that I may live a life that pleases you, Amen!”
